I am 48 years old and I live in the Austin, Texas area with my lovely wife, Jill, and our two cats. I am a fraud investigator for Golfsmith International, the largest retailer of golf equipment in the world.

I have just recently re-entered the photography hobby after being away for around thirty years or so. Back in high school I shot a lot of film with my trusty Yashica 35mm but, as young men sometimes do, I lost interest and left the hobby. Something lured me back however and in July of 2008 I purchased my first DSLR, a Sony a300 and began shooting away.

I have spent the last year reading about photography and trying to improve my skills. I have also set about improiving my kit. In March I acquired a Sony a700 which was a huge upgrade in technology. My current kit consists of:
