I enjoy travel and travel photograpy. I hope to share more of my travel photos here as I have time to edit, post, and arrange them. Most of my adventures have been to Asia. I've traveled to China, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and Hong Kong.

For the most part you won't see any exotic or dramatic looking photos here. I'm not into Photoshopping the original image into a work of art. I prefer to present to you the more natural unenhanced beauty created by nature and man.

I've always had an interest in photography. My first SLR was the Canon AE-1P which came out about 30 years ago :-) I recently loaned it to my daughter so she could learn about photography. Late last year I took the plunge and purchased my second SLR the Nikon D300 Digital SLR and just about every accessory to go with it. So now I'm fully into photography.

Eventually you will see some older photos posted here from some of my earlier travels that were taken with one of the Canon Digital Elph cameras. Those cameras are so small and easy for travel photography that I would always carry one.

I'll post hints and tips with some of the photographs so you can benefit from my experience. If you should go to one of these locations it helps to be prepared and know what to expect. Me, I try to be prepared for just about anything.

A few final words...

Please get out and enjoy the entire world, learn about other cultures, walk in the shoes of a person in another country. We will all be better off if we get to know the peoples of this earth and take an international view on issues. Get out and meet the locals in a new country, eat the same food, ride the same buses. One of my objectives each day when I travel is to bring a smile to the face of at least one person that I meet.
