I’ve spent more than 30 years behind a camera, chasing light, moments, and stories that move me. My background is in aviation — I’ve worked as both a pilot and an air traffic controller — and that experience taught me to appreciate timing, patience, and seeing the world from a different perspective. Those lessons have stayed with me every time I pick up my camera.

Wildlife photography is where I feel most at home. Most of my time in the field has been in Kruger National Park, South Africa — a place that’s nothing short of life-changing. Watching a leopard disappear into the brush or hearing lions call through the night never gets old. There’s a humbling beauty to being surrounded by nature at its purest.

Beyond the bush, I photograph corporate events, congressional visits, and travel assignments. Whether it’s a handshake between leaders or a quiet sunrise halfway around the world, I try to find the real moments — the ones that tell the story honestly.

I’ve been fortunate to have my work published and even displayed at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum — an honor that still makes me pause every time I think about it.

At the heart of it all, photography is my way of paying attention. It’s about respect — for the subject, the light, and the fleeting moments that remind us why we’re here.
