Megan the person:

 

I am very Christian. I am married for three years. I got married on Topsail Island, NC. However, my husband has been my true blue for ten years. I am only 26. :-)

 

I am a teacher, photographer, musician, and writer.

 

My band is White Rumour. I'm the lead singer.

 

My family is EVERYTHING to me. My brother is the lead guitarist in my band. He and I write the music. He is my best friend. We are all very close; we always have been. I have been blessed.

 

I graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where I acquired my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Ed. I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I am working on my Master's through Gannon University for Curriculum and Instruction. My Doctorate will be next.

 

I am a FREQUENT concert-goer. In fact, I've been to too many concerts to name.

 

I think in black and white; but, still outside-the-box. I take a photo-journalistic approach to life in general. My glass is almost full.

 

I dig old stuff.

 

I adore Pittsburgh, and am becoming obsessed with the city. I live about 1.5 hours away but there is so much to do and so much culturally there that inspires me...all of my favorite things. I should start renting an apartment there on the side.

 

I have two tattoos on my back. One is an ambigram which says my name (Meg) and upside down, of course, it says "Seth" (my brother and best friend, also band-mate). The other says Jesus with footprints to symbolize my wedding with the theme of "footprints in the sand" and to exemplify my belief in the Lord.

 

I am an extrovert. I am honest, but I am sincere.

 

I am a happy, busy bee. :-)

  

Megan the artist:

 

Andy Warhol is my favorite artist. He has inspired me.

 

I have a TON of old cameras and gear for which I lost count. My main squeeze is my Canon EOS 5D Mark II...and friends.

 

I am inspired by positive energy.

 

I love vintage themed photos, TtV, any antiquated look, photo restoration, graphic design (see my photo of Danielle in the mirror), vivid color, color splashes, and photojournalism in general.

 

I absolutely relish styles such as holga, lomo, tilt-shift, fish-eye, black and whites, etc. I love junk photography. I like panoramic concepts, smoke-art, and macros. I really enjoy borders, and montages. I am REALLY into flash-photography. I have some wicked unique accessories for my new external flashes. ...and a surfeit of new ideas! My favorite shooting is of obscurities or portraiture, especially involving people. Additionally, I typically gravitate to architecture and lines...symmetry, as well. I like to combine typography with my photography. I have also designed book covers and have done six years of photographic works for both covers and book inserts.

 

I accidentally got into photography when someone asked me to do some work for her. The confidence boost for me was that my first clients had spread the word and I didn't have to. I teach full time so this is an endeavor I took up for fun that has tremendously grown. I am thrilled! My cup runneth over.

 

I proffer anything unique, different, or unusual. Basically, I like to blur the boundaries.
