Maria isn’t just like a sister, she really is one. Maria is the voice in my head that inspires me to share who I am with others beyond the scope of our secure bond. I credit Maria for many things, but especially for selflessly sharing her natural zest for life and for inspiring my creativity that I would not have otherwise considered. For example, she insists that I can scrapbook, but I really cannot in light of the genius that she is. And then there’s photography, while I’ll admit to sharing the same “trigger finger” that she has, she’s genuinely inspired my own passion behind a lens. Maria is a natural at all that she does. Really. I know this because I’ve personally witnessed it for many years. She’s this amazing lady sent to us to learn from. Maria is a remarkable teacher, friend, and sister. I think her qualities shine through in all that she does, but especially those things that she cares about, like photography. In her case, a picture really does speak a thousand words :)
