My name is Shannon, but you can call me "Shan."

I've recently experienced great loss--my husband was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in March 2018. After multiple rounds of chemo, we relocated to Seattle so that he could get a stem-cell transplant (the only hope of a cure for his condition). Unfortunately, he experienced many complications from that procedure, and he passed in November 2018. The trip back to Hawaii from Seattle with my husband's ashes in a box was definitely my loneliest plane ride. Life is precious. Hug your loved ones close when you are able to because it can all change in an instant.

As expected, I'm a psychological mess right now. I'm still trying to find my way out of the proverbial forest and back into the light. Getting used to my new reality is hard...I'm grieving the loss of my husband, but also the loss of my children's father, and my sounding board, my best friend, and all the dreams and plans we had. I do have a therapist that I see every week--I think that helps tremendously. Mental Health is SO VERY IMPORTANT.

I'm a lot of things; one of my many labels is an adult collector of dolls. I currently have too many dolls--mostly Pullip & Company ones, but also some tiny BJDs (Fairyland & Lati). All of my dolls have been modded or fully customized in some way. I think customizing somehow is my way of making my dolls MY dolls.

Anyway, feel free to send me Flickr Mails, or add me as a contact. I love looking at pictures! And TAG me. I love participating in tags. I hope we can be friends. :)
