Some stuff about me... Nothing crazy, just outgoing and love the outdoors, and try to succeed in anything I do!

Sunsetting and a Horse Eating

I got into some action photography with cars motorcycles and anything interesting. Where I live, we have many crazy curvy roads, most have been seen on TV. So I really got the Idea from a friend Darryl Cannon (www.killboy.com) that covers Deals Gap (Dragons Tail) route 129. So I started www.180pix.com ( Route 180 ) I messed with that for a bit, but it got to be too much of a job and less enjoyment. It was awesome being out on the road shooting, but anyother time during the week, I was going through 1000's of photos from the weekend before for the customers to buy from my site. We averaged about 3000 photos every Saturday and Sunday, and still worked my normal full time job and messed with the photos after work! So I got a little burnt out of that. I still hit Events and what not to shoot, but I have stopped the route 180 deal.

I turned www.180pix.com into a personal photo Album now, but I stay on flickr more at the moment.

Crow Creek

Im 26 and work in a Family owned business building designing and selling Houses and Cabins in the North Georgia Mountains.

I think most of my photos will end up being HDR, I enjoy capturing what you actually see in real life and HDR allows you to do that! Why have a beautiful landscape and only be able to capture only half of it do to under and over exposure.

Moon Mountain Horse and Pasture

I dont care too much for heavy/extreme HDR images, some look ok, but some just look like cartoonish photos, then again everyone has there own opinion.

Bailey Farm Barn

Some people will like my photos and some not so much... It is extremely hard to make everyone happy in this field, but that can be said for numerous things. I really dont know if its a bad thing or not, but when I look at or take pictures, I think to myself "Is this going to be a good seller" or "Are people going to want this hanging in they're House, Office, or what not"

I love taking pictures and if I can make money doing something I love then.....Sweet!

I proposed to my Girlfriend which is my fiance now which means she said yes...haha... On March 9th(2008). We went to check out some falls on Sunday Afternoon. We hit Bad Branch Falls which flows into lake Burton in Ga. We got to the falls and I told her to get up there in front of it to get our photo together like we normally do. Well I set the tripod and camera up, and got the timer situated and walked up and told her "I loved her" and instead of standing next to her for this photo I kneeled down and asked her to marry me... It worked out awesome, and its nice to have something to remember such a wonderful day....

Justin has a great eye for rural landscapes. He finds something interesting to shoot everywhere he goes but I think his landscape photography is where he excels. His composition skills are dead on and the tones he uses are very interesting. His budding interest in HDR means that we can expect even better things from him in the future. He is only in his 20s yet some of his work looks like it was done by someone with decades of experience. Keep shooting Justin.
