This page contains meanderings and musings, photographs, collages, art experiments, and occasional commentary. For years I kept my personal work and family life hidden, but I now realize my kids are posting far more than anything I have ever put here, so I am slowly opening up the archives. There are a lot of memories here, fine art photography mixed into family trips, a family growing up, and growing older together. It's pretty wonderful looking back and looking forward.
At the end of 2016 I shut down my commercial photography business to focus on my personal art work. It was hard to say goodbye to something I had worked so hard to build, but it was time to move on to a new adventure. After crying about it for a year before I did it, I honestly haven't regretted it a minute since. I still accept select commissions, and welcome collaborations, but it has to be something that really interests me, and working with people who are kind and respectful and play well with others.
I graduated from Rice University in 1989 with a BA in Art and English. I had the good fortune to study under Peter Brown, Geoff Winningham, Thomas McEvilley, Brian Huberman, Dr. Jane Chance and Dr. Terrance Doody. I owe them all a big thank you. I owe an even bigger thank you to you, my family, friends, and my fellow artists for all your support and encouragement. Meander, muse, and enjoy!!
