Well hello there...my names Shawn Darst and I'm an Advertising Design student currently at the Art Institute of Dallas. I first got into drawing when I was younger but never really thought I could do anything with it. And it wasn't till I was in the Military that I found a real passion for design especially in Advertising.

I always found myself asking why some ads work and why some don't. I do struggle a lot with getting the right look down in my work, especially with choosing the right font choice. So to help my designing out I try and read as many type books as I can get my hands on and with that it helps greatly with inspiration (but I still struggle at times). One place I find a ton of inspiration is with online tutorials and half price books, I know its weird to some but half price books is like a whole other world.

Well that's a little about me, I will be graduating from the Art Institute of Dallas this December with a BFA in Advertising Design. I plan on moving to San Diego after Graduating and starting my career.
