I want to change the world one smile at a time!
I wouldn't leave the house without my small brown dog and camera. Charlie and I go walking most days within a ten mile radius of our home and after the initial ball play we begin to 'hunt' and sniff about for 'the picture'. I spend a lot of time on the Somerset levels and have a bad case of trench foot. I am starting to get webbed toes and feel totally at home out on the moors. I feel so lucky to be a spit away from all these wonderful wide spaces crammed with birds, flowers bugs and wee beasties.
I am also a singer currently performing with 3 different acts; a 10 piece soul band called the Orphans, a funky rhythm and blues band called the Jury and a piano/vocal duo called Sun Dog Days. With this one we have a recorded a beautifully laid back album inspired by the Somerset Levels. Check this link if you'd like to hear any of the tracks from the 'LEVELS' www.sundogdays.co.uk/music/
Kit wise I started with a Lumix Panasonic TZ5 compact camera and more recently I have upgraded staying with Panasonic Lumix I use a G3 which is a Micro Four Thirds rather than a D.S.L.R..This keeps it light and compact, just what I need as I always have my dog with me! I also treated myself to a Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens especially for wildlife photography and love it to bits!
I used to paint watercolours but I seem to have replaced that for the time being with photography.
I am learning all the time and would be grateful for any information on classification or photo tips as I am still an amateur.
I really hope you all enjoy looking through my collections as much as I have creating them.

Well what can I say, Joy is a one of those rare people who is a freind you just havent met yet. After an invitation to go down to Somerset and meet her, husband Stuart, and the most lovable dog called Charlie. Not forgetting a fellow Flickrite Cosper Wosper,(Graham). I had the most warm greeting I have had for too many years I care to remember. Joy and Graham took me for walks to all their favourite places on the Somerset levels, a haven for photographers, and I had a truly marvellous time. As well as being an extremely talented photographer, with a deep seated love for all things natural, Joy is a wonderful musician. I have too say it was an honour to meet such a lovely woman who is still a girl at heart. Thank you for a wonderful time, all we can take from this life, are memories, and this one will always be at the very top of the list for me. Thank you......Bob
