When I was a child, my first (and only) camera was an Agfamatik 2008 telepocket - "Ritsch-Ratsch-Klick". But somehow I very often came off with pictures that weren't exactly sharp. This and the fact that you had to wait quite some time before you could see results in those analog days might be the reasons that the fotografic bug didn't bite me right then.

When cameras moved into the digital world, I got a then quite expensive Nikon Coolpix 5700 together with an extra tele and a wideangle converter. Over some years I was very happy with this equipment (and still love the possibilities it offered in retrospection). But time wasn't so kind to its sensor so that it started to show dead and stuck pixels.

Instead of investing in repair of this then outdated camera (which found a new home in the meantime) I decided to make the jump into the SLR segment and fell for a Pentax K5 which fits snuggly into my hands. Over time some lenses from Pentax and Sigma (and some "old glass") found their way into my bag. Which called for a bigger bag ...

Then I got a Sony RX100M3 as an everyday gadget to carry around with me - and its bigger brother Sony RX10M4, a "superzoom" as my holiday equipment. But these two are gone now.

Completing the zoo are another "beast" in form of Pentax K3III and its monochrome brother...

Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.
