I am former dancer who photographs dance. I studied fine art at Brooklyn College. My photographs have appeared in The New York Times, Dance Magazine, The Village Voice and many national and international journals, books and web sites. My photographs from my Brooklyn rooftop, of the events of September 11, 2001 are among the collections at the New York Public Library and the New York Historical Society. My work has been seen in group shows at BAAD (Bronx Academy for Art and Dance), the Puffin Room (a part of Dance On Camera Festival) and solo shows at 92Y Harkness Dance Project, Dance Theater Workshop and at The Micro Museum in Brooklyn. My dance photographs are in the Corbis Images collection. I received grants 3 consecutive years from the Brooklyn Arts Council for my community outreach program MOVING PICTURES, a dance and photography workshop for inner-city kids, whose photographs of each other were on view at five myles galley in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. I served as panelist for New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) photography division. I recently returned from Monte Carlo, Monaco, where I photographed a contemporary "Scheherazade" by Alonzo King /LINES ballet which opened the festival celebrating 100 years since Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo.
