Designer, Artist, Educator

I am a New York based interdisciplinary artist looking at intersections of memory, mortality, and place. Although I don't shoot photography as much as I used to, you might find some shots on my IG (@artist.juliechen). These days I am focused on my experimental and interdisciplinary art practice, and teaching. I have an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art and a BFA in Multimedia and Performance, with several years of experience working in architecture and graphic design.

I used to shot events for Common Boston, which was a grassroots commitee with the Boston Society of Architects, comprised of young professionals who volunteer their time to getting communities involved with their urban environment. I was also their webmaster for many years.

I was also Communications Director for Team Massachusetts (4Dhome.us) where I contributed my services, both photographic, web, and graphic, for our submission to the Solar Decathlon 2011.
