I have been interested in photography since the mid 70's when I was a student at The West Surrey College of Art and Design in Guildford, Surrey, UK, studying Design for Print. Photography was offered as a sideline and I would often stay behind to make use of the photographic facilities at the college.

I took a course in photography in the early '90's studying composition, use of an SLR camera, darkroom techniques and studio lighting. I now regularly photograph the area around North East Ohio, USA, where I have lived since 2001.

My Dad was also a keen photographer and encouraged my interest in photography. I still use some of the hints and tips that he passed on to me to this day.

I've always used Pentax, my two main bodies are a K-30 and K5 together with various autofocus and manual Pentax, Sigma and Tamron lenses. I love the Tamron SP Adaptall 2 series of lenses! I still shoot film and have a Pentax Super A, Super Program, ME Super and P30t for that purpose. An LX and Spotmatic are waiting to be repaired...

I am now semi retired which gives me more time to get out with the camera(s) as well chores around the house and garden which my wife has been saving up for me! I'm a regular member of the local Lutheran church where I occasionally sing and play guitar either solo, with the resident band, or choir. I re-affirmed my Christian faith in September 2018 and was baptised in December 2018. My faith was definitely a great help after my second son passed in April 2019.
