A trial lawyer who runs his own law firm, a parent dedicated to improving our schools, and a leader in ratepayer associations, Julian Heller is a passionate champion for St Paul’s who has made a real difference in his community.

After completing studies at Princeton and McGill, Julian made a home in St Paul’s where he has lived for over 25 years. He is a proud husband and father of three children.

As a concerned parent with children in community public schools, Julian took an active role in school parent councils and soon found himself working with parents across Toronto to improve the quality of public schools. He has been actively involved at the school board on task forces and committees, and recently organized a campaign to save the Extended French programs across the Toronto District School Board – cuts that will hurt students at local schools like Winona Drive PS, Arlington Middle School, and Glenview Sr PS.

He also worked with the South Eglinton Residents and Ratepayers Association in their fight against excessive development and is a founding organizer of the Toronto Clean Air Parade – an effort to encourage use of public transit.

He has been involved in youth sports as a soccer coach and hockey convener.

In his professional life Julian practices law at his firm Heller and Associates. He is a former chair of the Canadian Bar Association’s Ontario Constitutional and Civil Liberties section.
