Dear Citizens:

Since June 10, 2010, I have had the privilege of serving as a Circuit Judge of Cook County, 8th Judicial Subcircuit (Chiola vacancy). Prior to this service, I was a skilled trial and appellate lawyer and a judicial law clerk in the Appellate Court of Illinois. I have been an adjunct professor of law, have authored numerous articles and chapters in legal treatises, and have lectured throughout the state on many different legal topics. I am also a faculty member of the statewide Illinois Supreme Court Judicial Conference.

As a wife, mother, judge, lawyer and community leader, I believe strongly in justice, independence, and the rights and liberties guaranteed to us all by the federal and Illinois Constitutions. Accordingly, I work hard each day to ensure that cases are handled in a fair, impartial, prompt and judicious manner and that everyone who appears in court is treated with dignity and respect.

I am proud to be a part of a strong and qualified judiciary. I hope my dedication, qualifications and experience earn both your trust and your vote on March 20, 2012, so I may continue to serve the community and people of Cook County. Thank you for the opportunity.
