Hi! 👋 I'm Jaclyn. I am a hobbyist photographer from and currently living in Southern California. I have had an interest in photography since 2010ish but didn't fully jump into it until early 2015.

I primarily shoot for myself, but will do a job on occasion. My wife teaches at an elementary school and I also "donate" photos and video to their annual plays.

Micro Four Thirds was my first interchangeable lens camera system which I started with in 2015. In 2018 I purchased my first Nikon which was a D500. A little bit after that I bought a D750, but due to an Amazon kerfuffle I sent it back (price dropped and they wouldn't honor it even though I purchased mine like 2 weeks prior) and purchased a D850 from another vendor that actually had it in stock.

In 2019 I sold my D500 and purchased a Z6. I was sold on mirrorless and wanted to begin investing in the Z-mount glass, so I sold my D850 and purchased a Z7 (later traded that for a Z7 II). I also switched from Micro Four Thirds to Fujifilm's X system with an X-H1. I enjoyed that but really did not use it too often. The size/cost was not far off from my full frame Nikon gear, so in 2023 I made the move back to m43 for my small/light travel system.

So right now (mid-2023) I primarily shoot with a Nikon Z8 and OM-System OM-1. I still have some F-mount lenses, that work great on my Z8, but I do like the feel of a DSLR, and so I bring an old D700 around with me on occasion.
