I'm a passionate amateur photographer. After using an old practica with an extern lightmeter from my father I got my own camera when I was 12 years old: a minolta X-300s with a rather bad 28-70 lens. After using this plastic camera for a few years I fell in love with a second hand black Minolta xd7 and bought it together with a 50mm prime. Later I bought a 135mm lens to go with that.

Years back I thought about buying an autofocus camera and I did, the Nikon F80 (N80). Back then I was convinced it would take me years to switch to digital. But after only two years and lots of filmroles I decided to buy the D70. It was (and is) a great camera. More recently I upgraded to the even more amazing D300, which I'm very happy with. I think the next step will be full frame...but when???
