Started photography as a hobby back in the early 70's - shot lots of B&W with Minolta and Rollei 35mm - developed and printed myself.

80's and 90's - mostly 'snapshot' photography - more point and shoot - only occasionally getting creative.

Began shooting digital in 2000 with Canon Powershot Pro 70

- Canon A80 sometime in '04

- Canon SX20 since '09

All flickr photos are since going digital.

Feb '12 picked up a canon 60D with the 18-135mm kit lens and a Nifty Fifty . It's great having a 'real' camera again.

March '12 ...picked up a Canon s95 as a carry-around - this is a great little camera - some pictures in photostream

June '12 ... sold 18-135 kit lens and picked up 18-55mm kit and the Tamron 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 VC - love the extra reach - 480mm on crop sensor

Oct '12 - Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 - using this as my primary / general purpose lens - well satisfied with it.

May '13 - Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 - Ultra-Wide fun.

July '17 - Upgraded to Full Frame Canon 6D Mk II and Canon 24-70 f/2.8

May '18 - Added a Canon 100-400mm L USM II

Jumped back into astrophotography seriously in 2024

- Celestron Evolution 8" SCT

- Askar FRA 500 refractor

- ASI2600mc and AS678 (planetary) cameras

- ZWO AM5 equatorial mount
