I have had a camera in my hand through most of my adult life, and enjoy both the art of photography and the process of bringing the print to paper. I do a limited amount of matting and framing, with most prints offered flat matted, ready for framing. I hope you enjoy my images and would like to have them in your home or business.

Although I have joined the digital age, I started with film. To me, the process was only half done when the shutter clicked. I built a darkroom complete with developing trays and tanks and an enlarger. I processed film and prints: push processing films, burning, dodging, toning, reticulation, posterization, solarization, and straight prints. I took travel, weddings, sports, artisan, and performance arts photographs and then worked in the darkroom to translate the pictures from captured moments to encapsulated events. I worked primarily in black and white, but I also did some color photography.

My darkroom is now dry and electronic, but many of the same techniques are there: burn, dodge, posterize, solarize, reticulate, and many more effects that bring a more graphic look to the "straight" photos. I still manipulate my images to varying degrees to achieve an effect that I feel is more pleasing, and perhaps even more true, than the original image.

I also photograph art for entry into shows, preparing promotions and emails:
