I am an IT administrator by day and a beginning amateur photographer by night... Something like that.
I was an avid photographer when I was little using a fixed focus Kodak 35mm camera. Eventually I graduated to my first digital camera: a Kodak DX3600. The DX3600 sported a 3X optical zoom and a Compact Flash slot which I promptly filled with a 128MB CF Card. Sadly, I lost a bunch of photos when I had a hard drive fail in my computer at the time and as a result lost interest in digital photography.
I've since upgraded my storage infrastructure at home and now have discovered a revitalized interest in photography. I currently own a Panasonic DMC-G2A m4/3 camera with the stock 14-42mm lens and will be acquiring a 45-200mm lens within the next few weeks.
I'm still getting used to the camera and all the controls it has to offer. Unlike my old Kodak which had essentially three modes (take pictures, record a video clip, and playback) with pretty much zero ability to modify parameters the G2 offers dials, knobs and levers that allow me to adjust any number of settings.
I'm always looking for feedback on improving my shots so please feel free to leave comments or send me an email.
Also, please feel free to use and share my photos. If you do, please drop me a line as I'd like to get a feel for how my photos are being shared or used.
