I am 44 years old married and living in the Des Moines area of Iowa. I enjoy photography, videography, movies, music, american football, cycling, astronomy, and spending time with my wife and two dogs.

Over the last 4 years I have been learning photography and also have a passion for video shooting. I currently shoot with an Olympus OMD-EM5 and a Canon T3i. I tend to shoot mostly with the EM5 as it is small, easy to take with me, and takes great pictures. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone that I shoot with when I do not have my main camera.

I love taking pictures of odd things as well as common things. You will find that I tend to experiment a bit in different genres of photography. I enjoy landscape, still life, street photography, urban exploration, black and white, portrait work, and sometimes sports.

I am always learning new things about photography the more I do it. I feel experience and taking a lot of photos is the best way to learn things. The big thing I am focused on now is learning to use light and see beautiful light when it exists. This is something I am much better at now then a few years ago but is still a work in progress.
