Well where to start, I'm a 34 year old client support specialist and web developer / designer. I love hiking and getting out away from it all into nature. Landscapes and nature imagery are by far my favorite subjects to shoot.

I have been married since I graduated College with a BFA at 23, to my lovely wife Candace and we now not only have a beautiful daughter, Audriana, but a handsome son, Eli, as well. They are the best! I dare you to make better babies than we did :). They are more beautiful than any photography I could ever take or create.

I don't know if I will ever do photography full time, but who knows God's a funny guy right? I'm just going down the road with the artistic medium that I have come to love and seeing where it takes me. I just don't know if it's the right fit for my life (when it comes to full-time work) because of the demands it would place on my family life. There are things more important than my own desires and aspirations.

I started shooting with a B+W class I took in college on film. I had pretty much given up on all other art forms and started to get the creative bug. It wasn't long after I graduated that I started to get hooked and promptly bought a Canon Rebel XT SLR about a year or so after graduation. I was never really happy with this camera (outgrew it quickly and it never felt right in my hands, too small and uncomfortable during extended shooting) and quickly sold it within a year because of a steal of a deal I got on a Rebel XSI, which I consequently loved and am still own, although it's really showing it's age at this point. I've since gone m4/3 and went all in with a Panasonic G85. My walk about camera when I want portability and versatility is a Panasonic Lumix LX7 that has been indispensable and takes near pro-level camera shots with proper usage. It outshines larger camera kits in many ways.

I think what sets my work apart is the fact that I come from a fine art background with a strong working knowledge in areas like painting and drawing and so I try to allow those elements and that artistic training to influence my creative decisions. .

My artistic goals are to create photos that are strong compositionally and aesthetically pleasing, capture the beauty and intimacy of God's glorious creation, and bring it to others for their enjoyment. I desire to glorify God and his awesomeness with my work and I hope you come to know and or re-experience His peace through it. He's a much better creator than me, I'm just capturing moments in time that were already setup.
