My name is Justin and I am based out of the greater Boston area in Massachusetts.
My favorite thing about photography is that no two pictures are ever exactly the same. Even if two people take a picture at the same place and moment, there are differences, whether it is the settings used or the post production applied. It’s not about what you are looking at, but what you yourself see in that moment, and how that individuality shapes the narrative of the story you want to tell with your photos.
I started my photography journey in my early 20s when I picked up my first DSLR in 2011, a Nikon D3100 with the basic kit lens. My primary focus at the time was cityscapes and landscapes, which are still two of my favorite subjects. In 2015 I upgraded to a D7200 and expanded more into urban and nature scenes as well as some light wildlife. My biggest change was when I finally went full frame in 2019 with a D850 which I have been shooting with ever since.
Currently I am working to get better at wildlife photography as well as starting to explore astrophotography, so I am excited on where this next chapter will take me on my journey.
Panoramic photography has been a staple in my workflow ever since I started, with my first panorama being a 4 image stitch. Since then I have constantly put myself to the test in this category and have made a few images that have surpassed a gigapixel so far. I love how these images invite people to explore the smaller scenes that are taking place within the overarching image. I plan to continue to hone my skills in both shooting and stitching these images as I keep challenging myself with new types of scenes this can be applied to, both large and small.
I am here to connect with fellow photographers and see the great photos that others take on their journey in this passion, hobby & profession.
