Paul’s reflective disposition, his sensitive eye and the rigour of his working process together constitute an alembic out of which he distils images of great refinement and quality. He is a contemplative observer of nature, and a master of subtle hues and tones - which he deploys with a confident yet understated hand. However, he is also able to fire a few surrealist rockets into the air to quicken the mind and the imagination of the viewer. I consider Paul to be a highly accomplished artist, and count him as a valued friend.
