2012 update: I am lamenting the reduction in time I have been spending on Flickr over the past year which is in contrast to time spent on Facebook; but there is only a limited amount of discretionary time available for online entertainment!

My wife gave me my first 'proper' camera xmas 2009 and I have a lot to learn ! a Photo-technic-dumdum I just enjoy trying to capture a momento of all those moments of beauty, fun, drama, discovery and more beauty in my life.

You may notice my photostream is heavy on our dogs who are wonderful and dont mind having their photo taken - unlike my equally wonderful family ;). We are very dedicated to our 3 dogs and breed them occasionally; if interested you can see more on the website shown. Of the 6500 and more pics per year (after deleting) that I took in 2010 & 2011 approx 3000 of those include or feature the dogs - so I have restrained myself from flooding my Flickr-stream with endless dog pics !! I do try to balance what I upload...

Photography is one way to celebrate the good things in life and flickr is one great way to share these things with friends, family and like-minded folk.
