I am a graduate student, currently finishing up my thesis and hoping to start a career where I can analyze data and work with people. When I am not on a tight schedule, I'd like to work with camera in the field.

I started with a canon S30 in 2003, then made a move to film SLR before getting back to digital again in 2005. Now I shoot with Canon 20D and 4 lenses, 17-40mm f/4L, 50mm f/1.8, Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro and sigma 70-300mm APO macro. I am planning on spending my 1st pay check after graduation on a Canon 40D and probably a couple of APS lenses. We will see how this plan works out. :)

I initially shot landscape only, then realized that portrait was such a wonderful area to explore, because it makes people (myself included) happy. I also love macro, though I have had little practice.

I like the idea of digital darkroom. I believe it brings lots of creativity into photography, just like gorgeous lighting created by resourceful masters. Though I am not a heavy user of photoshop right now, I will definitely welcome any opportunities to learn more.

I like flickr, it's a wonderful place to share photos, experiences and most of all have fun. I hope you like my selection here and leave me your advice and suggestion. Thank you. :)
