I am thankful for the very talented photographers I've found on flickr who inspire me and encourage me~ thank you!

Learning alot about and enjoying my Canon EOS 40D that I purchased spring 2008 (with 28-135mm zoom, also 55-250 zoom, various filters and lens baby). Had been taking photos previously with Canon film cameras and didn't want to go digital, but now love it.

Being that my photo philosophy is related to ‘a thing of beauty is a joy forever’ (obviously) and a photograph is my (and a quadrillion other people’s) way of helping make that beauty last ‘forever’, I hope you enjoy looking at my photos.

I especially like to photograph and view photos of animals (cute and furry creatures, dogs, [volunteer at humane society] cats, horses, deer, fish), architecture (big cities, historic, churches, simply beautiful), birds (and swans, eagles, heron, waterfowl), boating, butterflies (obviously), bugs (bees, dragonflies, caterpillars, some spiders), flowers, gardens (orchard, vineyard), landscapes, ‘magic hour’ scenes, musically composed shots, people, scenic parks (walkways, gazebos, fountains, benches, lampposts), rainbows, reflections, seasonal shots, special effects (macro, blurred motion, lens baby, spot focus, foggilizer, watercolor, paint, artistic etc), still life (antiques, teacups, antique books, collections of stuff etc), and any combination of the above.

A photo may be worth a thousand words but I love poetry and quotes that so many flickrians add to their photos. I hope to inspire some as well with mine.
