I got my first SLR - Canon EOS 33 during the film photography days when I was a budget poor student in Australia. Had been through the period of hours in the darkroom and it was all great fun.
Now that's still sitting nicely in my dry box as I've moved on to the much better Canon EOS 400D in terms of grip and size for ladies.
I love to travel, and enjoy taking pictures of food. Food is such an important part of culture, don't you agree? The down side is that my husband and family have to endure hunger pangs while waiting for me. HAHA! I mostly use a f1.8 28mm prime lens on my cropped camera, and try to use natural light where possible.
In recent years, I've been greatly inspired by renowned photojournalist Jeff Hutchens after watching his "Lost in China" programme on National Geographic. He offers such a fresh perspective through his photos, has accomplished so much......and is only a year older than me. Yeah, I'm envious!
P.S. My Wish List includes:
- Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM Lens (saving for it now)
- Leica M9
- Minox DCC 5.1
- Waterproof compact (a Canon Powershot perhaps)
