Hi all, after a bit of a break on Flickr I'm back, le the photography fall to the side a little and it was only when a friend really inspired me again that i rememberd quite how much I love it. Nothing like a gentle nudge in the correct direction.

Self proclaimed countryside addict, I have lived in London for the past 7 and a half years but can't wait to leave. Although I love London my heart is in the South West, particularly the coast. I work in the theatre for a company called White Light, and for all those that care, we provide the lighting for the vast majority of the West End shows and national tours as well as all the local and small scale theatre. I'm completely addicted to the theatre and I can't think of a better profession. Recently I've gone part time and now also work for the University of Surrey, a job which is most likely a short term move.

There's a lot to be said for escapism and everyone has there own, unique way of finding it and I suspect for most people on Flickr it would be Photography. There are some things that just can't be said through words and indeed the old saying that a picture is worth a thousand words has never been more true than here and that's why I love it. Photography brings peace in an otherwise chaotic world and without that we are nothing.
