I was born in 1993. The first cameras I ever used were the disposable Fujifilm wind-ups my parents would buy me when we went on vacation. The wind-ups forced a delayed gratification I still miss. I also miss the satisfying click of advancing the film. Going to pick up my 30 or so masterpieces was a chance to relive the whole vacation while finding out how my skills improved since the last trip.

Photography remains a passion of mine in the era of digital film. Ever since phones were equipped with cameras, I have purchased the phone with the best camera available at the time I was upgrading. I use the camera of my camera phone more often than the phone part of the phone. The camera phone I use now is a Samsung S23 Ultra.

My camera camera is currently a Nikon D3300. I usually shoot through a 55-200mm lens though I want to extend my reach when I can afford to. 500mm seems like an optimal compromise between reach and portability which I will attach a mirrorless frame to when I can afford to be less disruptive.
