THINK, COMPOSE, AND SHOOT!
It all started after I graduated high school. I was at a yard sale and saw a Nikon F camera that fascinated me. A few years passed and I saw a Nikon FM2 for sale that I bought and ran the cheapest film through just to get to know photography.
Since then I never took it seriously until The N65 came out, and that was my new toy. Never taking a photo class, I mastered the camera and Quanteray lens. I used it for 3 years learning technique, composition, and lighting and producing some great prints. I began selling them at flee markets and hanging my work in offices, and from there, it all began.
For over a decade I shot professionally from landscapes to objects. Weddings and portraitures are some other things I have done, but never really got into. Now, as of April 17th, 2011 I will not be shooting professionally, as I want to focus on family. I will get back into it later, but only part-time. Photography, for me, will be a hobby.
My photos in the stream have been taken with various cameras from film to digital. I have made up my mind not to post photos I shot professionally because I wanted to keep work separate from Flickr.
Going forward, I want to use my experiences to help teach others what it takes to make a great photo and selecting the gear that best suits their needs.
In the past year I have sold off almost all of my gear in hope to take more pictures. I am now just sitting on a Nikon D7000, D700, trinitys, 50 1:4mm, 20mm, and a 28-300.
My primary camera is now the iPhone 4s which takes some of the best pictures. I hope to have some iPhone images up soon!
I do not show EXIF data because you should appreciate a photo for its substance, not the gear or techniques that was used for it.
