Photography has been a big part of my life since 1981 ( I was 13 and I sold my bicycle to buy a Pentax K1000) After all these years, it is still my passion and luckily has become my occupation.

For work, I do coverage for press as well as weddings and other special events.

For fun, I shoot anything that seems interesting at the time. I especially enjoy travel photography for the instant inspiration as I am usually guilty of ignoring my own "beautiful" surroundings. I tend to forget that people spend their hard earned money to visit the Bay Area but now, thanks to my Flickr friends, I am re-discovering my own part of the world.

I'm a loyal Nikon user (since 1984-I will soon be posting pics of my equipment) but will shoot any camera I can get my hands on.

Just to clear the air of any misunderstandings, I am a loyal Nikon user, but that doesn't mean I hate other cameras. They just feel right for me, and have proven through the years to be reliable and a pleasure to use. Anyone who has hung out with me enough times will have heard me say (again!) "it's not the camera but what's about 5-6 inches behind the viewfinder that usually matters more".

My favorite non-Nikon cameras in my bags include my Rollei 35S, Canon SD1000, Yashica-Mat 124G and my Holga, not necessarily in that order.

Right around the time I was getting interested in photography, I also got interested in music. Some time playing heavy metal guitar and then switching to drums gave me aspirations of being a musician. I didn't get to realize that until many, many years later (try about 20+years). In the past couple of years, I've fulfilled my dream of playing rock music performing with other great bands in quite a few venues in the SF Bay Area. Maybe a world tour someday? Who knows?

In the meantime, we're in the studio putting together some new material for our next album and preparing for our upcoming show. We try to have a gig every two or three months so fans- keep an eye out for our Evites. If you want to be added to our fan list, let me know so we can email you info about upcoming shows.
