Things have changed as life has a habit of doing! I spent a few years meeting some fun similar aged CD's on Flickr and TVChix and went to some wonderful places like Pink Punters and Magic Theatre, but then I moved out from my parents' home, and the novelty of dressing up secretly wore off as I could do it whenever I felt like. So I reconsidered what I was trying to be, and I also felt fed up that I could never get rid of the maleness in my face, although I'm quite happy with my body shape.

Fortunately I'm a musician, which is a licence to dress flamboyantly for the stage! I also love 70's rock. So I started collecting flared trousers, wild flowery shirts / blouses and hippy jumpers, and realised this was as much fun as crossdressing, (and secretly it was, but nobody could tell), yet people could recognise why I was dressing that way.

I now feel that there is little need to separate male and female clothes when I can blend the two, and go for a hippy / androgynous / musician with a love of bright colours. I nearly always wear some sort of item of female clothing, but as an outgoing man, not as a confused crossdresser. I'm still happy to be a man.

However, as usual, Halloween is a great chance to take it further once in a while as with my Morticia photos and others. I now have some great local friends, a few of whom are crossdressers. All of this helps to break down the social barriers of wearing whatever I want to!

I recently was persuaded by another CD friend that I shouldn't hide Josie from anyone. It really was worth the risk, so now I'm happy to dress up for occasional parties (including my own birthdays naturally!) without worrying about a negative reaction. I have some wonderful GF friends who have helped a lot!

I must try to dress my age though! I probably dress at least 10 years younger than my 40 years of real age!

Oh, and I live in West Sussex, UK.

I have this out of date TVChix page too: tvchix.com/profiles/jos1e_
