Greetings!

I started photography as a hobby, and it still is as of now. I don't consider myself as a good photographer, tsamba lang (just lucky) most of the time, but photography for me is an ongoing passion to express myself, and I am making myself better at it.

It all started December 2006 with a Canon PowerShot A540. I just wanted a digital camera of my own, and it was nearing our Christmas party. So I decided to go to Quiapo, Manila to purchase a simple yet functional camera. After consulting with my friends and peers, I got the camera, and the rest, as they say, is history.

I now have an S3 IS. It not a great leap from my old A540, but it does the job. Although I still dream of having my own dSLR one day, my camera still does its job of taking pictures (plus the fact that my budget doesn't permit me to upgrade to an SLR as of now hehe), so I think it might take a while before I switch.

My enthusiasm thrives on the pictures I see from the good photographers, both amateur and professional. I try to emulate what they do in my own way, and someday I wish I can create my own standards. I have yet to formally study photography though, and, by the grace of God, I hope I can someday.

My philosophy in photography comes from an online forum that I regularly visit, and I believe this is very true:

"Wala sa pana yan. Nasa Indyan yan!"

(It isn't with the bow. It's with the Indian!)
