Joro was born on 20 May 1985 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Even at the age of 3, he knew he wanted to become a famous singer and he’s been following that dream ever since! Joro was first accepted in the Bulgarian National Radio’s Choir with Ilina Todorova as a conductor when he was 3 years old. That gave him the chance to meet some of Bulgaria’s greatest names in the music industry such as Lili Ivanova, Vasil Naydenov, Vasil Petrov, Georgi Hristov, Rosi Kirilova and more. The choir has more than 5 released albums, a great deal of won prizes, and many guest appearances abroad. In Bulgaria, they sang in front of the prime-minister, many ambassadors and even the president. One of his most vivid memories from his time with the choir, however, is when they were invited to Italia by Mariele Ventre - the conductor of the Piccolo Coro Dell'Antoniano. At the age of 14 he quit the Bulgarian National Radio’s Choir and went to sing with one of the biggest and most famous choirs in Bulgaria - “Bodra Smyana”, conducted by Lilyana Bocheva. He remembers that when he went to the audition, the jury was amazed by his voice and great talent and they accepted him at once. Until the age of 17 he was traveling both in Bulgaria and abroad with “Bodra Smyana”. The reason he quit the choir was that he wanted to persuade his solo musical carrier and as instructed by his piano teacher for more than 8 years, Lilyana Donkova, he contacted one of the best vocal teachers in Bulgaria - Alice Nubar Bovaryan with whom he is still working. Joro graduated from “Orpheus” Private Musical School in Sofia and after that he applied for the New Bulgarian University where he took his bachelor’s degree in 2009 with major Pop & Jazz Singing. While he was in the university he took part in many musicals such as “Cats”, “Les Misérables” and many more. Joro has his first album scheduled for release in 2011. One of the best photographers in Bulgaria - Dilyan Markov and his team made Joro’s first professional photo shoot. The make-up artist for the photo shoot was Julia (a top make-up artist in Bulgaria) and the stylist was Dancho (one of the best in the field).
