I've had no formal training in photography aside from a couple high school courses. Other than that, I'm almost entirely self-taught.

I shoot black and white film, do all my developing and printing myself in a darkroom. I shot digital for about 1 month, then switched back to film for a lot of reasons that I won't post here.

I can't really pinpoint one reason why I chose photography as a medium of art or why I shoot photos. My influences come from a sense of Canadiana, a critic on the current direction of modernization and a keen interest to deconstruct normative notions of "beauty".

I don't shoot professionally and rarely sell any of my work. It usually sits in boxes, untouched from external market influences and critic of others. I rather like it this way as it helps me keep my photos as personal as they can with only my vision in mind. That being said, if you like any of my work, feel free to email and inquire, but I will not do contract work or take photos at your wedding.
