So there is so much that I want to say about your work, but I just can't express how amazing you are as a photographer. Every time you upload something, I can't help but to comment and/or favorite it. I'm so inspired by your creativity and style of photography. I can honestly say that you are one of my favorites on flickr. I know you've been busy with work and everything, but please do not stop photographing. Ever. You have a talent and it would be a shame to see such thing disappear.

There are very, very few photographers on flickr who I actually seek out almost each time I log in in order to see if they've updated their photostream, but Jordan Blanchard is one of them. I stumbled across his stream last summer, and have been mystified ever since. Although some equal his ability, I cannot think of one person who can top his mastery of the golden hour, which strikes me as his trademark. His stream is splattered with image after gorgeous, golden, sun-bleached image, each one equally breathtaking. His models are fantastic; Tiffany in particular is continually captured in a way that seems to visibly demonstrate his affection for her, as if each image is a type of photographic love letter, and each shot he takes of her is a phenomenal image that tops his collection. There's something undeniably unique and original to his photography compared to the vast majority of photographers our there; a higher sensitivity with his models and how they are captured, a (much) more acute awareness of lighting, and a strangely spiritual and mystical element to many of his photos. Just about every photo he takes is a powerfully emotive and moving piece, with its own unique story imbedded into it. Looking through his stream, there is a variety of different styles of photography that he has experimented with and he’s clearly growing each day as an artist. There is a certain fearlessness as to what he uploads, and an apathy towards how people will receive his work; it appears as tho he just knows what he likes and uploads it, and I believe this has really freed him from certain restraints and enabled his work to evolve into something much more personal than most people attain. He is one of the most captivating and inspiring photographers on this entire website, no question about it in my mind.

As I sat just staring at all the photos, from golden hours to cloudly days, to night photos, all of them were no crazy photoshopped, but rather barely, if at all, edited. Jordan and showed me that you don't need to spend hours of editing to make a photo magic. Jordan and taught me that photos are magical based on the photographer. jordan blanchard. how come i haven't written you a testimonial yet? first of all, nothing i say here will even begin to describe how much you inspire me and amaze me with every single one of your photos. i know it's cliche, but also so true. well, actually, i'm not going to tell you your photos remind me of magic because i'm sure you've heard that a million times already! It's something much more inspiring and captivating than magic. Your photos draw the line between imagination and realism. Your models show emotions of real life people, but the light and atmosphere of your photos is something only found in the most magical of creations. Somehow I find myself smiling after i see many of your photos, without even knowing why or how. I can't thank you enough for all the inspiration you've provided me with. I wasn't sure if it was possible to love every photo someone posts on flickr, but such is the case with Jordan. All of his photos are unique and different, and all of them are equally beautiful and awesome. His photography is the essence of what photography should be--sure, his photos have a combination of gorgeous lighting, tones, colors, framing, composition, focus, all that jazz. But his photography is even more than that. His photos have a power that is too complex for me to describe in this little textbox here. Point is, Jordan is an amazing photographer. Jordan Blanchard is a prodigy. Seeing how much he has excelled in photography in the time he has been taking photos is breathtaking an incredibly admirable. His eyes have to be that of a Terminator, scanning his subjects for the perfect focal point, registering the levels of light in his surroundings and determining his proper shutter speeds. His use of natural light and color are exceptional, he never pushes one photo too far over the edge but holds back to make the photo stand outside of subtlety but just below outrageous. His work is only going to get better and better as the years go on. I'll follow his progress straight to the top with praise.
