From a very young age Josh had an instant attachment to drawing, in his free time as a youth he would fill book after book with drawings of super heroes monsters and robots. Themes he would never relinquish even into his twenties.

Nearing the end of High School just discovered acrylic paints and another instant attachment was born. Following graduation Josh would go on to enroll in York Universities Fine Arts program, focusing on painting and sculpture.

Here he developed a fondness for large abstract compositions that combine his love of painting with his love of drawing. He would also discover the foundry process, a golden means to fabricate his monstrous creations in bronze and aluminum.
