Julia Crawford is a twenty-something year old who grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA and landed in the dirty south after high school. Her college career lasted four and a half years and consisted of a lot of really random stuff: she DJ'd at college radio station - joined a sorority - worked at a gyro shop - watched Obama speak on campus - received a degree in Studio Art - devoted countless hours to publicizing area concerts.

The post-college whirlwind brought Crawford back to the "North East" which took some adjusting but definitely increased her love for taking pictures of everyday sightings like shoelaces or a sidewalk. Twisting expectations to live the normal life in order to satisfy her own standards fuels her daily and she hopes to share some of what she sees through her photos. Also Julia likes talking and some call her evil. Enjoy. Enjoy .

Julia spent a little time exploring Denver, CO and its surrounding beauty in 2011 and returned to work on the east coast summer of 2012.

24-Oct-2012: Most uploads have been taken using Camera+ with iPhone4S. Many photos have been modified from original image using the Camera+ scenes and effects. Prior to owning a phone with a high quality camera (capable of taking a photo as good as an actual point and shoot itself), I was determined to post only my best photos to Flickr - with as few edits as possible. At the time this frustrated me because various "filters" and options to manipulate the image were many and often made it look like I was working with a much better camera. I am glad I gave myself the limitations then, however, as I think it forced me to find ways to present whatever scene I saw every single day from a new angle. Whether I achieved that or not, I might not know until I take the time to go back through my photo library with an unbiased eye.
