Thanks for wasting a few minutes of your infinitesimally short existence on the living plane here. You could be out there making a difference, improving your core values, or reaching for those stretch goals at work... but you're here instead, and I thank you. Otherwise my own existence would be meaningless. :))

 

Lots of my pics are of the St. Louis Arch Rival Roller Girls. They are rising stars in the roller derby world, and their new website rocks! If you want to see something that doesn't suck (again, you don't have much time left on this earth, look how much time you've wasted already) go see a roller derby bout sometime.

 

I am a Pentaxian and shoot with a Pentax K20D with Pentax/Tamron/Sigma glass. I keep a K100D Super around for vacations and hiking, its lighter! I use the Sigma 105mm macro for those "pretty flower/bug" pics, and the Pentax 50-135mm or Tammy 28-75mm for roller derby. If I upgrade anything, it would just be to get a Pentax K-x body. The K-7 is nice but has no advantage in pic quality or high ISO ability over the K20D. ;)

 

  

  

JonU235 -- overexposed! But my Metz 58 really does like to overexpose once in a while.

 

Photography is (a little) cheaper than therapy, or maybe it's "photography leads to therapy"....

 

I am weird, period. One person thinks I'm creepy (Iz no creepy!) Well, I've been thinking, maybe a little.

 

Day job - I'm a radiation sponge, working hard not to kill myself! You know the stuff you get at the hospital that makes you glow in the dark, such as for a stress test to make your heart light up? I make that, among other radiopharmaceuticals, using cyclotrons (particle accelerators). I was also a damn fine Reactor Operator - I never once melted down anything- on CGN 25 (USS Bainbridge - no, not the same one that saved Capt. Phillips from the pirates - but I was on its evil predecessor bwaaahaha), so I suppose I'm pretty much an expert when it comes to the nuclear operational side of life, which has been sort of interesting. From time to time. Not really right at the moment though. And now you know why I'm -- overexposed...
