"Life is a collection of moments"

Die momenten vastleggen is mijn streven. Natuur en mens hebben mijn grootste belangstelling, ik leg hun schoonheid en emotie graag vast. Met natuurfotografie begon mijn nooit eindigende zoektocht naar het mooiste moment. De natuur is het bewonderenswaardigst in de kleinste dingen en zo ontstond al snel mijn belangstelling voor vlinders en vogels. De mens in zijn eigen ‘natuur’ kwam daar later bij: portretten en bruiloften, maar ook theater, muziek en dans leg ik met veel plezier regelmatig vast. De interactie tussen onderwerp, camera en fotograaf fascineert me al 40 jaar onverminderd bij elke foto die ik maak. De camera biedt mij toegang tot een andere werkelijkheid: een foto neem je én maak je.

Capturing those moments is my goal. Nature and people are my greatest interests; I love capturing their beauty and emotion. My never-ending quest for the most beautiful moment began with nature photography. Nature is most admirable in the smallest things, and this quickly sparked my interest in butterflies and birds. Later, people in their own ‘nature’ were added: portraits and weddings, but also theater, music, and dance, which I regularly capture with great pleasure. The interaction between subject, camera, and photographer has fascinated me for 40 years, unwavering with every photo I take. The camera offers me access to another reality: you both take and make a photo.
