Jerrid Jones began his journey into photography several years ago when he borrowed his father’s camera. He shot film for a number of years then stopped due to cost of film and development. In 2005 he began to see the advancements that digital photography had made, not only that is was a lot cheaper in the backend, but the potential of the creative aspects where endless. So he quickly adopted the digital format and began his journey again. Fast forward few years later and Jerrid has re-taught himself all of the standard techniques along with newer digital techniques, as well as some special effects he is currently trying to perfect. A few of his specialties include HDR, 360 Panoramic, Tilt Shift, Long Exposure, Infrared, along with a multitude of Digital Manipulation. He has won a few awards for his work including Best of Show in Camera South’s 2009 and Members Choice in 2010. He also had a design chosen in a LensBaby Creative Aperture contest. Only 5 designs were selected in the world and now his “Diamond” design is featured in LensBaby’s Creative Aperture 2 Kit. Who knows where his artistic photography journey will lead him next…
