I am a long time railroad fan and have been taking photos of trains and their environment since 1965. I posted on Facebook for several years but have decided to move my photos to Flickr. I've had several hundred here since 2011 but haven't added any recently. I've have spent the last year recreating digital files from original slides and have also reworked digital images I started taking in 2005. A Photoshop upgrade rendered over 10K RAW files unreadable so I started over. I purchased a Nikon slide copying accessory that is intended to be used with a 60mm f2.8 macro lens. So essentially, I've photocopied some 9000 slides and negs using my D810. This resulted in large image files which become even larger after running the images through Topaz Denoise and sharpening. This also resulted in every wart and glitch on the originals being faithfully reproduced in the copies. That has resulted in every photo being gone over with a fine tooth comb and cleaned up and fixed as best as I can. I've removed everything I've had here and will start posting re-edited images soon. I see I have a small following and I certainly appreciate your interest. I truly don't know why this is important to me but it is, I'm sure other rail photogs understand.
