All that I encounter each day is reflected in my art. Im inspired by the energy around me, and sometimes I understand the moment, or just allow my intuitive sense to act as a guide. I find that I cannot creatively move forward unless I have a vested interest. My life experience adds layers to all my professional and personal work.
I sometimes feel like my mind is a flipbook. My imagination runs rampant with feelings and memories of people who have impacted on my life and events that have changed me as an individual. I am a walking camera filled with frames that continuously flicker on my inner screen. When I approach my artwork, I pull these visuals to the surface. My artwork is a reflection, a diary of who I am.
My palette is varied, from crayons to oils, drawing boards to slab stones, computers to cameras. I could never restrict myself to one medium. My foundation is classically trained, but my outlook is contemporary, combining the technology of today with whatever it takes to fully convey my ideas. (Throughout it all I have always stayed close to the canvas and the paint!)
