Hi Flickr People,

I live in Brandon, Manitoba, in the very middle of Canada. I bought my first camera (and first car) during the same week almost 30 years ago - both for $150. The car (a Plymouth) and camera (a Minolta) are long gone, but I still like taking pictures.

I've always loved your work, even though I don't know you. But man, you've got some serious skills! Any tips for a beginner like me? :)

I am awed by your depictions of them on a regular basis! I've also enjoyed getting to know you better through our interactions on Flickr. I absolutely love your sense of humor (or is that humour?)! We are totally in-sync. : ) Thanks Jo-Anne for your wonderful work and for your friendship!

Jo-Anne's photos of the prairie landscape make me want to pack my suitcase, hop in my car and head to Manitoba. Her junkyard shots are simply amazing...she is the queen of rust. Looking forward to seeing more broken down trucks and school buses!

Jo-Anne has mastered the way to capture the beauties of the Canadian Prairies wide space & big skies. She is not afraid of going out when it is freezing cold outside to capture beautiful images. She likes trying new stuff and has developed a very unique style. It is always a pleasure to discover what she uploads!
