dandy_fsj - View my most interesting photos on Flickriver

For me, Flickr has been a gift. I started viewing other people’s photos a couple of years ago but it was only in February 2007 that I became brave enough to start posting some of my own.

The work of so many Flickr photographers is truly awe inspiring. I look at their images and think they should be published in a large, glossy coffee table book. Take a look at my favorites and you will see what I mean. To have some of these photographers comment, invite or even fave some of your own work is both humbling and very motivating.

One of my photography goals is to purchase a DSLR; I am still using my 4 year old Sony DSC F717. It has been a great camera for me and I have learned a ton with it. Another of my goals is to take some photography workshops with the ultimate being the Summer Intensive at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography.

My other interests are reflected in my photography. I am an avid gardener (no small feat in Northern British Columbia), and many flowers that I post are from my own garden.

The only regret I have with Flickr is there never seems to be enough time. I wish I could see all my contacts photos and comment on them. I wish I could reciprocate everyone who visits and comments my photos. Please know that I greatly appreciate any comments and feedback you are able to give.

John is a sensational photographer and one of the finest here on flickr. The quality, the composition and the colour of his images is just outstanding....one of the best I have ever seen on flickr...it's a great pleasure to view his photo stream. John has created a portfolio of remarkable images full of beauty, elegance and grace! I find myself coming back to his photo page over and over again. Flickr is a better place because John is here - and I'm proud to call him a great fellow photographer and a friend. Congratulations John and thanks for sharing your great work!
