“La AMISTAD, si se alimenta sólo de gratitud, equivale a una FOTOGRAFÍA que con el tiempo se borra”

 

Dicen que una imagen vale más que mil palabras, y es que mediante la fotografía se puede expresar infinidad de realidades, sentimientos, emociones, sensaciones y situaciones, algunas que nos agradan, otras que presentan panoramas que nos sorprenden o nos abruman.

 

De niño descubrí la fotografía, crecí con ella, en mi familia vivimos de ella y aprendí de ella.

 

Mi padre, un abnegado empleado oficial (hoy pensionado) nos acostumbró a vivir en medio de rollos, películas en blanco y negro, reveladores, químicos, lámparas de luz de día, trípodes y dos viejas cámaras réflex análogas: una Cannon que era su adoración y que aún la conserva y una Olympus.

 

Fascinado me encantaba acompañarlo al famoso “cuarto oscuro” perteneciente a la Entidad con la que laboraba, donde con asombro observaba como a través de unos cuantos pasos, sobre un papel blanco, brillante u opaco, iban apareciendo las escenas que había captado con su lente, todo bajo la influencia acompañante de la luz roja que emitía un foco desde la pared.

 

De mi padre puedo decir que aprendí la técnica, a contener la respiración al momento de hundir el obturador, a seleccionar los mejores ángulos y lograr los mejores encuadres, pero considero que aún me falta mucho por aprender.

 

Sigo siendo un aficionado, pero… quisiera seguirlo siendo, porque un amateur en el verdadero sentido de la palabra, es aquella persona que hace las cosas por el placer de hacerlas.

 

Ahora comprendo porqué la cultura digital provoca cambios en las costumbres de los consumidores: puesto que unas fotos de más no suponen un gasto, ya nadie se contiene a la hora de disparar, incluso para hacer todo tipo de experimentos.

 

En mi época de niñez y adolescencia descubrí la magia de la fotografía y del revelado (en blanco y negro), afición a la que tuve que renunciar por falta de espacio y de tiempo. Hoy puedo decir que gracias a la fotografía digital he recuperado esa magia; puedo realizar tantas fotos como quiera, sin gastar ni en carretes, ni revelado, ni tener que esperar para ver el resultado y hasta borrar algunas si no me convencen. En fin, que mis preferencias también han cambiado.

 

Las cámaras digitales permiten almacenar cientos de fotos y elegir cuáles conservar y en qué soportes; ya sea papel fotográfico, papel de impresora o simplemente pasarlas del disco duro del computador a un CD o a un DVD, para visualizarlas en el televisor..

 

Como han cambiado los tiempos, pero sin duda que:

 

“La magia de la fotografía radica en captar momentos irrepetibles, que por fugaces escapan de nuestra memoria, pero que perduran en la imagen”

 

Después de un tiempo de moverme por aquí, sigo afirmando que la amistad se edifica día a día, con nuestros actos y actitudes.

 

Gracias a todas aquellas personas de TrekEarth que de una u otra forma, han contribuido a mejorar mi técnica, mis aptitudes, mi estilo y mi capacidad de actuar en un arte maravilloso y reconocido como al que pertenecemos.

Mi nombre es John, de profesión Contador y aficionado (y seguiré siendo aficionado) desde niño al campo de la fotografía.

 

Me conecto desde un hermoso país ubicado en el extremo norte de Sur América:

 

- De gente cálida, trabajadora, ansiosa, amable y de infinitos matices.

 

- De paisajes encantadores y altamente rico en recursos naturales, pero como todo en este globo terráqueo, en constante amenaza y alerta frente a la acción del hombre.

 

Muchos de los escenarios que componen esta maravillosa tierra, se reflejan en mi galería, como una pequeña ventana al mundo de lo que es mi COLOMBIA

 

Aparte de la fotografía de paisaje, me agradan las tomas artísticas, sociales y arquitectónicas; esquemas donde tiene una gran participación la creatividad e ingenio humano. A través del tiempo y permanencia en nuestra comunidad, lo podrán ir apreciando

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and that is through photography can be expressed countless realities, feelings, emotions, feelings and situations, some that we like, that other scenarios that have surprised us or overwhelm us.

 

As a child I discovered photography, grew up with it, in my family we live it and learned from it.

 

My father, a dedicated employee officer (now retired) us accustomed to living amid rolls, black and white films, developers, chemical, daylight lamps, tripods and two old reflex cameras similar: a Cannon that was their worship and that still preserves and Olympus.

 

Fascinated I loved to accompany the famous "dark room" belongs to the entity with which Labor, where he watched with amazement as through a few steps on a white paper, glossy or opaque, appearing iban scenes that had captured with his lens , All under the influence of the companion red light that emitted a focus on the wall.

 

From my father I can say that I learned the technique, to contain breathing at the time of sinking the shutter, to select the best angles and achieve the best frames, but I still believe that much remains to be learned.

 

I am still an amateur, but… I would remain, because an amateur in the true sense of the word, is someone who does things for the sake of making them.

 

Now I understand why digital culture causes changes in consumer habits: since some photos do not pose more of an expense, and nobody has the time to shoot, even to make all sorts of experiments.

 

In my era of childhood and adolescence I discovered the magic of photography and digital (white and black), to the fans who had to resign because of lack of space and time. Today I can say that thanks to digital photography I have regained that magic, I can make as many pictures as you want, without spending nor on spools, or revealed, nor have to wait to see the result and even delete some if not convince me. In order that my preferences have also changed.

 

Digital cameras allow store hundreds of photos and choose which ones to retain and in what media, whether it's photographic paper, printing paper or simply pass the computer's hard disk to a CD or a DVD for viewing on the TV ..

 

As times have changed, but certainly that:

 

"The magic of photography lies in capturing moments unrepeatable, a fugitive who escaped from our memory, but remain in the picture"

 

After a while to move here, I am still saying that friendship is built day by day, with our actions and attitudes.
