Thames Tales

I first got into photography about 8 years ago when I had some spare cash and so bought a Nikon Coolpix. This was at a time when my camera was better than my PC and no-one really used digital that much. I fell in love with how easily I could point and shoot and how I wasn't restricted by the amount of photos I could take.

Hogwarts at Westminster

Not long after, I entered one of my first photos into a competition and won. I won a Lomography camera and fell in love with these plastic Russian pieces of rubbish and ended up over the years owning around 10 different cameras from LOMO.

Black Bay

I was approached by a fellow Lomographer in my hometown of Cardiff and soon after we formed a society. We held galleries, photographic events, competitions and I made some very good friends and had the time of my life. It was long before the ease and attraction of digital pricked my ears again and I invested in a rather expensive Canon.

Brooklyn Rock

Unfortunately, less than 8 months later all of my equipment was stolen from my house - without insurance (valuable lesson learned) and its only recently since moving to London two years ago that I've been able to re-buy all my photography stuff.

Elizabeth II

Since then its again become a big part of my life. I've sold my photos, given lots more away and started to take headshots etc for friends who are actors.

My camera is never far from my side and I never cease to be amazed by the ability to capture a moment forever and share it with everyone. Its a very unique and clever artform.

They're watching you...

I like urban/alternative photography and love graffiti. London is a great city for photography and I'm loving shooting the hell out of it. As my old friend Oddy used to say 'I cock a snook in the eye of conformity and shoot from the hip'.
