O.K... Let's see... I learned about photography, 35mm SLR shooting, film developing, and the like in the early 80's in both Grades 11 & 12 while taking the wonderful full-year Graphic Arts program at Thistletown Collegiate in Rexdale, ON)...

A 5-year stint working at Air Canada immediately after high school helped with that whole "wild oats" thing thanks to the nearly free flights, but once I got serious with life and became a productive member of the Ontario Public Service (is that an oxymoron?!?!?) in 1990, my time for photography grew scarce.

Now that the kiddies are "out", and thanks to my wonderful wife Stph and her gift of a Sony a200 dSLR for my 40th birthday, I've renewed my interest in photography.

The a200 was and still is a great camera to learn on, but I have since added several lenses and an Alpha a580 to my kit - and hope that an a77 will be added soon!

I'm having a great time "re-learning" about how to take great pics with digital gear by reading, taking a few courses, and practicing, but I have to say the information from the group posts and looking at all the wonderful Flickr member photos - your pics, your posts, and the meta data is really helping make this a great experience... thanks!

Now, if I could only get something more than dial-up internet here at the rural corner of Corn Field & Cow Poop, I could upload far more of my pics than what I have here...
